LASER HAIR REDUCTION (LHR)

Say goodbye to unwanted Hair, Everybody wants beautiful, clean permanently hair reduction painlessly with a smile. We have infrared diode laser to kill the base of the hair root in the follicle and impede hair growth. LASER HAIR REDUCTION – PAIN FREE HAIR FREE Generally, after the course of 6-8 sessions, a few maintenance sessions will be required, as over time hormonal changes in the body might trigger some hair growth. Is Pain Free Hair Free really painless? Most people find Painless Hair reduction laser very comfortable. While Pain tolerance is subjective, many patients often describe the sensation as soothing as a ‘hot stone massage’ Is this technology safe for all skin types? It’s safe for all skin types, hair types and most hair colors. It can be used on tanned skin. The body hair reduction process is permanent, predictable, and virtually pain-free. How does this laser technology work? Painless Hair Reduction works by using pulses of infrared diode laser energy to gradually heat the hair follicles in the subdermal layer of skin until they can no longer produce new hair. Using unique, IN-motionT technology and a patented DualChillT treatment tip, the surface of your skin stays cool and comfortable. The sweeping motion also eliminates any skipped or missed spots common to other types of laser hair removal. Laser hair reduction is appropriate for any area where there is excess hair, with the important exception of the eyhe area. Laser works best on dark coarse hair and reduces them to the point where most of them are completely removed and few left ones become significantly thinner and invisible.

PRP- PLATELET RICH PLASMA THERAPY IN HAIR

RESTORATION - PRP THERAPY PRP IS AN EXCITING NON-SURGICAL THERAPEUTIC OPTION FOR PATIENTS WHO REQUIRE STIMULATION OF HAIR GROWTH FOR HAIR LOSS CONDITIONS. In hair restoration, PRP will be injected into the scalp. The application of PRP causes miniaturized hair follicles to become healthier and larger, producing more robust hair growth. PRP activates follicular progenitor cells (adult stem cells) and PRP is loaded with growth factors that promote rapid angiogenesis and localized cell growth. Effective for both male and female pattern hair loss, PRP has also regrown hair in alopecia area, eyebrow hypotrichosis and other patient cases with non-hereditary hair loss. The recovery from PRP therapy is typically uneventful. Pain is easily managed in most cases with non-narcotic analgesic medication such as Ibuprofen. Some mild swelling of the forehead is occasionally seen 4-6 hours after PRP injections. This is normal and will resolve in 48 hours. Avoiding vigorous activity is recommended until the swelling is gone. There is no other downtime or noticeable effects of the procedure. Patients can wash their hair normally immediately after the injections. 3. A PRP treatment takes about 80 minutes to complete. First, a blood sample is obtained which is specially processed to produce the PRP. A local anesthetic is then administered to completely numb the scalp treatment area. If desired, a sedative can be administered. The PRP are combined and then administered via a series of injections over the full scalp or in a localized treatment area such as the eyebrows or beard. New hair growth can be seen as early as 2 months, but is typically evident between 5-8 months and will continue to improve up to a year after treatment. HAIR MYTHS 1) A woman should brush her hair one hundred strokes to keep it healthy and shiny. 2). Shampoo is harmful to hair. 3) Shaving hair will make it grow thicker 4) Oiling hair will rejuvenate hair growth. 5) It is normal to lose 50-100 hairs a day. 6) Average numbers of hairs on head (male / female) is approximately 1, 00,000 to 1, and 50,000 7) No new hair follicle is formed after birth. 8) Normal hair growth is about 1 cm per month. 9) The average life span of a strand of hair is between 4 - 7 years. 10) Hair also contains trace amount of magnesium, arsenic, iron, chromium, and other metals and minerals. 11) More than 40 % of middle age women suffer from female pattern hair loss. 12) More than 50% of middle age men suffer from hair loss 13) The main component of hair is the keratin, which also holds the responsibility for the elasticity of finger nails.

MESOTHERAPY

What is Mesotherapy? Mesotherapy is touted as being able to reduce fat in 'spot' treatments, with particular focus on notorious problem areas such as the buttocks, love handles, inner thigh, neck and chin. Many practitioners also claim that mesotherapy can help drastically reduce cellulite, eliminate wrinkles, remove scars and even stimulate hair growth. Mesotherapy can be used for the following: • Mesotherapy to counter hair loss (alopecia) • Mesotherapy to promote weight loss • Mesotherapy to provide anti-aging benefits • Mesotherapy to eliminate localized fat deposits • Mesotherapy to eliminate cellulite How Mesotherapy works for Hair Regrowth? Using dermaroller, mesogun or insulin syringe, microholes are created over the scalp and stem cell serum or platelet rich plasma is instilled into the deeper layers of scalp which stimulate the existing hair follicles and promote the new hair growth. What can I expect from the treatment? You can expect new hair growth along your existing hair line and improved density, health and texture of hair. Man or woman – who is a better candidate for this therapy? It is equally effective in both men and women. Is the treatment painful or any side-effects? The pain is subjective and patient specific. Some people perceive it like hot massage and some find it unbearable. For sensitive individuals we suggest numbing gel or topical anaesthesia one hour prior to procedure which reduces the pain sensation considerably. Mesotherapy is a safe procedure and there are no long term side effects. However, the procedure should be done under complete aseptic conditions so as to avoid folliculitis. How long does the treatment take? Mesotherapy is lunch time procedure and it takes maximum half an hour for the procedure and you can go back to your work place immediately after the procedure. Can I wash my hair after the treatment, and after how much time? You can wash your hair after 24 hours of mesotherapy with your routine shampoo. Will it also cure my dandruff? No, for dandruff you need to wash your hair with antidandruff shampoo and take treatment as prescribed by your dermatologist. How many treatment sessions will I need? One requires atleast 4 sessions. The therapy can be continued further upto 10 or 12 sessions with good results by combining therapies like anti-hairloss solutions, stem cell serum and platelet rich plasma.

HAIR DISORDERS

A.Hair Fall / Baldness Baldness is the state of having no hair or lacking hair where it often grows, especially on the head. The most common form of baldness is androgenic alopecia or "male pattern baldness". This syndrome occurs in adult male (and a few female) humans and other species. The degree and pattern of baldness can vary greatly; it includes male and female pattern alopecia (androgenic alopecia). This syndrome is also called androgenetic alopecia or alopecia androgenetica. An older term is alopecia seborrheica, used primarily in Europe. Pattern balding should not be confused with alopecia areata, which involves patchy hair loss. Extreme forms of alopecia areata are Alopecia totalis, which involves the loss of all head hair, and the most extreme form, alopecia universalis, which involves the loss of all hair from the head and body. Latin: Pityriasis simplex capillitii is the shedding of dead skin cells from the scalp (not to be confused with a dry scalp). Dandruff is sometimes caused by frequent exposure to extreme heat and cold. As it is normal for skin cells to die and flake off, a small amount of flaking is normal and common; about 487,000 cells/cm2 get released normally after detergent treatment. Some people, however, either chronically or as a result of certain triggers, experience an unusually large amount of flaking, up to 800,000/cm2, which can also be accompanied by redness and irritation. Most cases of dandruff can be easily treated with specialized shampoos. B. Alopecia Aereata Alopecia areata is a condition that causes round patches of hair loss, and can lead to total hair loss. The cause of alopecia areata is unknown. About a fifth of people with this condition have a family history of alopecia. Alopecia areata is thought to be an autoimmune condition. This occurs when the immune system mistakenly attacks and destroys healthy body tissue. Alopecia areata is seen in men, women, and children. A major life event such as an illness, pregnancy, or trauma occurs before the hair loss in some, but not most patients. Forms of alopecia include : 1) Alopecia areata - patches of hair loss, usually on the scalp, but they also can be in the beard or other area 2) Alopecia totalis - complete loss of scalp hair 3) Alopecia universalis - total loss of all body hair 4) Telligent effluvium - diffuse hair loss that results in decreased hair density, but does not Progress to complete baldness. 5) Androgenic alopecia -hair loss occurring in either sex, caused by stimulation of the hair roots By male hormones. 6) Anagen effluvium - diffuse shedding of hairs, includinggrowing hairs, that may progress to Completebaldness. C .Dry flakiness and itchy scalp Although similar to dandruff, dry flakiness is characterized by white, powdery flakes on head and around the nape of the neck. Dry weather affects your scalp .Use amoisturizing product until the flakes disappear or weather changes. TREATMENTS Low level laser hair therapy (LLLT) is a revolutionary, non-surgical breakthrough for both men and women suffering the devastating effects of hair loss. Now it is easier than ever to achieve thicker, fuller, shinier, and healthier looking hair. The low level lasers are “soft” lasers often referred to as “cold” lasers, and do not have the thermal-component to cut, burn or vaporize. Low Level Laser Hair Therapy treatments utilize a device containing therapeutic soft low level light lasers which delivers light energy directly to the scalp. First developed in Europe, it has been used for improving hair volume and hair shaft quality and prolonging the life of hair color and improving hair colors and perms. Laser Hair Therapy Treatments Benefits • Increases the blood supply to the scalp by 54% after only one treatment. • Stimulates hair follicles. • Stops the progression of hair loss in 85% of patients. • Increased hair strength and elasticity. • Fuller, shinier, softer, thicker hair. • For post-operative transplant surgery, such treatments have been shown to help newly transplanted hair to thrive and increase the healing process. • Repairs damage normally caused by chemical services. • Delivers light energy directly from different positions without loss of light properties to insure appropriate dosage.

BODY SLIMMING

As we all know that while we lose weight not only do we lose body fat but also muscle and water. To avoid the body from getting a saggy look as we lose weight the muscles have to be toned and firmed. The electronic muscle stimulator devices are an excellent the medium if given regularly for maintaining the tone and firmness of the muscles. These machines help the body to look more slender and toned for any occasion in a very short period of time, which is not possible through active exercise. BODY SLIMMING INCH LOSS / BODY SHAPING What you will feel during the treatment – A comfortable, relaxing treatment with a typical sensation of warmth. A painless treatment – No pain is experienced during the treatment. Effectiveness of the treatment – Inch loss varies from individual to individual. Generally a reduction of 4-6 inches is seen in the patient. At least, one to two dress-size reductions has been documented. Maintenance plan – A diet advised by us should be followed. An exercise routine also helps. If there is no weight gain, maintenance treatments are seldom required. Diet Advice – Have 5 proper meals a day; it should be a balanced diet, with 2 portions of fruits and 3 portions of vegetables. Avoid missing meals. About cellulite – Cellulite is basically fat that changes compartments due to laxity in skin structure. This contributes to it getting stuck between the fibrotic bands in the skin, resulting in changes of irregular skin with dimpling, so it looks almost like an orange peel. Common areas for cellulite – Buttocks, abdomen, thighs Common Triggers for Cellulite • Lack of exercise • Female gender • Overweight/obesity • Elderly • Poor lymphatic drainage • Excess hormones TREATMENTS I-LPO How I-LIPO Works • Laser Machine Uses • Low levels of visible Diode Laser Lights • Painlessly absorbed by individual fat cells • Cell contents are then broken down into fatty acids • These begin to escape through cell walls • They are now easily burned down by the body ELECTRO CELLULITE MASSAGER The stimulatory action of Electro Cellulite Massager tones the muscles and reduces inches by improving circulation and lymphatic drainage, thereby breaking down fatty deposits. This is followed by the I-LIPO treatment. ADVICE FOR LASER INCH LOSS AND BODY SHAPING Pre Treatment Protocol Please avoid heavy meals for 2-4 hours before and after each treatment as the body gets confused about which fat to metabolize. If you are hungry, munch on some fruit. Do not fast before the treatment as the body may go into starvation mode. Avoid coffee, tea and carbonated drinks before the treatment as these may cause bloating. Good hydration is must for a healthy lymphatic system, so make sure you drink enough water. Avoid going in for the treatment around the time of your menstruation cycle. To actually measure the results, wear the same clothes on the last day and the first day of the treatment. Post Treatment Protocol Post treatment, exercise is a must as it speeds up the metabolic rate and helps use up the mobilized fat, thus preventing it from being restored. Adequate hydration is a must, both pre and post treatment. Avoid eating immediately after the session. You may eat 2-3 hours after the treatment Follow your diet routine as advised. Your measurements are taken pre and post the treatment in order to monitor the progress. Why I-Lipo – Simply because it has many advantages over other systems. Here are just a few - Clinically Proven – Independent clinical studies have shown that in some cases I-Lipo has similar results like liposuction. Ultrasound imagery shows up to 30% reduction in the fat layer depth after just one treatment. Additional treatments improve results further. Results can be seen immediately after each treatment as the fat cell contents are released. Light exercise post treatment can further accelerate the removal of the released fat. Affordable Treatment – Compared to surgical liposuction, I-Lipo is much more affordable with similar results. Safe and Painless – I-Lipo uses low levels of visible red laser light to create a safe and painless bio-stimulation effect in the targeted fat tissue. This stimulation is of normal chemical pathways which the body uses to free up energy resources when required. Thus I-Lipo does not produce any abnormal effects in the body or damage body tissue such as cells, blood vessels, neighboring nerves or vital organs. The treatment can be performed on all skin types and body areas where unwanted fat is stored. Normal activity can be resumed immediately after the treatment. Immediate Results – Results can be seen immediately after the treatment. Targeted Fat Reduction – I-Lipo can target fat reduction in a specific problem area. By positioning the laser pads on the target area such as chin, upper arms, abdomen or thighs, fat can be broken down and removed specifically from that area. This is a big advantage over diet and exercise which can reduce overall body fat, but not shape individual areas.

WARTS REMOVAL

What is a WART (Viral Wart)? Warts are viral infections caused by certain strains of Human Papilloma virus (HPV). The HPV virus causes growths on the surface of the skin. WART What body parts does WARTS affect? Common warts involve any body part mainly the hands and feet. They may also spread to the beard, face, scalp and rarely lips, ears and nails. Genital areas may be affected where it is usually sexually transmitted. What do WARTS look like? Warts appear grayish with a rough surface. When moist they may appear white. Warts may be flat or well raised from the skin surface. Some may appear like thin finger like or thread like projections. How do WARTS spread? As it a viral infection, it spreads from person to person and to different parts in the same person. Virus can spread through fomites (shared objects) which are infected. Individual immunity determines whether the warts progress or automatically regress or remain static. What are the symptoms of Warts? Warts are generally painless growths. Being asymptomatic, many patients don’t seek treatment for them for a long time. This may give opportunity for warts to spread. Rarely there is itching or pain or redness of surrounding skin. How can VIRAL WARTS identified? Warts may be mistaken for skin tags, moles and corns or calluses all of which are not infective. Qualified skin experts can readily differentiate b/w the above conditions and warts. Sometimes tiny black points may be noticed within warts which are absent in the above. Also corns don’t lose the continuity of skin lines which are lost in warts. Can a person have extensive Warts? Yes. People who have body parts, usually hands or feet, immersed in water for a long time or who have excessive sweating may experience fast and extensive spread of warts. Genital warts may become florid to involve glans penis, prepuce, and shaft of penis, scrotum and also thighs in males. Also in females, there is fast spread due to continuous wetness. WHAT IS THE TREATMENT OF WARTS? Various treatments are available for treating warts. Treatment depends on the age of patient and the area to be treated. Creams containing salicylic acid and retinoid are used for treatment of warts, but they must be used after consultation with a doctor as they must be used after consultation with a doctor as they may cause skin irritation. Warts need to be destroyed as the virus does not get destroyed by medication. Treatment includes the following CRYOTHERAPY- In this treatment, the warts are frozen by the doctor and the dead skin along with the wart is removed. ELECTROCAUTERY- The warts are coagulated with the help of skin cautery or Radio frequency machine. LASER ABLATION OF WARTS- Laser can be used to destroy the warty skin IMMUNOMODULATION-Inspite of all treatments, warts have a tendency to recur and medication to improve immunity are an important part of treatment.

TATTOO REMOVAL

Tattoos have now become a part of trending culture in the society. Lot of people do tattoo for beautification or fashion. It has become conventional among young people to present and express their self. One of the methods of removing tattoos is by laser therapy and dermabrasion. While lasers are the most common method of tattoo removal. Tattoos are created by injecting colored pigment into the skin. Regardless of who or how the pigment is injected, the marks or designs are relatively permanent. People turn to physicians to have tattoos removed. Fortunately, there are several methods for tattoo removal, which have proven successful. In most cases, however, some scarring or color variations remain. The conspicuousness of these blemishes depends upon several factors including size, location, the individual's healing process, how the tattoo was applied, and length of time it has been on the skin. METHODS OF TATTOO REMOVAL LASER In recent times, many physicians consider laser surgery one of the best methods of tattoo removal. Today, the Q-switched Nd:Yag, Q-switched Alexandrite and the Q-switched Ruby are among the most frequently used lasers for the removal of unwanted tattoos. They are all employed in a similar manner. A local anesthetic cream to numb the skin can be applied prior to the treatment. Pulses of light from the laser are directed onto the tattoo breaking up the tattoo pigment. Over the next several weeks the body's scavenger cells remove the treated pigmented areas. More then one treatment is usually necessary to remove the entire tattoo at intervals of eight weeks. RESURFACING Resurfacing of tattoos removes only the top layers of the skin bearing the pigment of the tattoos. This technique may not always remove the pigment present in the deeper layers of the skin. Resurfacing can be done through Dermabrasion Ablative lasers like CO2 laser and Erbium Yag Laser Both these techniques may require local anesthesia. Because some bleeding is likely to occur a dressing is applied immediately to the area. What Results Can Be Expected? Regardless of which method of tattoo removal is used, some color variations are possible to remain. Healing time varies depending upon the size and depth of the tattoo, the procedure used and the patient's healing process. How many sessions are required for tattoo removal? Complete laser tattoo removal requires as many as 8 to 12 treatments, typically spaced at least 8 weeks apart. At each session, some but not all of the tattoo pigment particles are effectively fragmented, and the body removes the smallest fragments over the course of several weeks. The result is that the tattoo is lightened. Remaining large particles of tattoo pigment are then targeted at subsequent treatment sessions, causing further lightening. The number of sessions and spacing between treatments depends on various parameters, including the area of the body treated and skin color. Forearm and ankle tattoos generally take longest. What are the possible side effects and complications of tattoo removal? Hyper pigmentation (dark spots) or hypo pigmentation (white spots) may sometimes occur; however these are more common in darker skin. ‘Paradoxal darkening’ of a tattoo may occur when a treated tattoo becomes darker instead of lighter. This occurs more often with flesh tones and lighter colored tattoos and maybe avoided by doing a ‘patch test’; where the laser is applied to one or two test sites prior to a decision to treat a full tattoo. Scarring may occur when inappropriate laser energy is used. Transient textural changes are occasionally noted but often resolve within a few months Local allergic responses too many tattoo pigments have been reported and allergic reactions to tattoo pigment after Q-switched laser treatment is also possible
